I just love these!

A few more canvases that were ordered during the sale. I am just in love with the look of these and am so excited that these were ordered.

Mr T is ONE!

One of my favorite little members of our Bright Beginnings Club is graduating! Tristan turned one and came in for his last session in his first year plan. I sure hope that his sweet mommy will enroll him in our brand new "Leaps & Bounds" plan to capture his sweet self at each birthday (2-5). Either way, Tristan has been a joy to work with this past year and I have truly enjoyed each of our sessions. Here are some of my faves from this most recent session ...

His grandmother came in at this session, too. You all know how much "generation" portraits mean to me, so I'm gifting "Nanna" with a 5x7 of this image.

And here is the custom storyboard that we will be framing for Tristan to celebrate his year in our Bright Beginnings Club. He came in for a newborn session as well, so we included it in his final framed collection.

Young Love - My son's!

Yes, my son, the just-graduated-kindergarten, only six years old, is in LOVE. And it is true love because it has lasted all year! He informed me way back in September, that he was in love with an EIGHTH GRADER!! And that he didn't know her name, but she was a cheerleader. Well, in a small K-8 school that had only three cheerleaders, it wasn't hard to figure out his new love. Miss Whitney.
He was quite bold throughout the year, courting her in his own way with handmade cards, letters (sometimes stuffed with magazine pull-outs for Nick jr. and Highlights magazine), even a valentine gift. When school was out and Whitney was on her way to high school, he said to me, "Mom, you should take some pictures of Whitney." So I did.
Here are some of my favorites from Whitney's photo session, courtesy of her admirer, Liam. His gift to her will be completed with a nice storybook, and I'm sure, a handmade card.

Kelly's Canvas

Just wanted to share the 20x30 canvas that we did of Kelly's family. It is so gorgeous in person!! I have my 6.5 year old son holding it, so you can get an idea of the size. It's perfect to hang in her family room. I also ordered one to hang in the studio, so next time you are here, take a look!

Hanna's Album

Hanna has waited so patiently for me to finish proofing her senior portraits - she came in a couple days before my Mexico trip so she had to wait to see them (except for a sneak peek of just a few). Here is her finished album, I hope she loves it as much as I do. Of course, I had to order one of these to have here in the studio!

Gorgeous Family!

This gorgeous family belongs to my assistant, Kelly. We've been trying to get her crew wrangled up for a family portrait - the canvas sale was the clincher!! She's already ordered her 20x30 canvas for over her couch! I can't wait - I ordered one for the studio, too :) Don't forget, the LAST day to order is Wednesday....
Here are a few of my faves from our session...

Last Chance for Canvas Sale & Upcoming Summer News

The canvas sale ends THIS Wednesday 6/25. If you have been wanting a gorgeous piece of art for your home, now is the time. Use that economic stimulus check to buy yourself something beautiful of the one you love.
Know you want one, but can't remember which image? Place your order and we will post a gallery of your session online for you to choose - but remember, all images must be chosen by 6/25!!

In other news, we have some really fun opportunities for you to have that special someone photographed this summer. Keep tuned in to the blog to be sure you hear about it first!!

Newborn Beauty

Meet little Josslyn. Such a sweet, tiny thing! Only 10 days old - I love photographing babies when they are "fresh from the oven!" She was so peaceful when she slept, and so alert when she was awake! That gorgeous pink scarf belongs to her daddy - he is a REAL cowboy! Here are a few of my favorites from her session...

Fun at ONE!!

Little Miss Kaya turned one today! Happy Birthday, sweetie! Kaya is now a graduate of our Bright Beginnings Baby Club. We are going to miss seeing her adorable expressions - she has been a lot of fun this past year. She came in for her one-year session last week. She was a little shy at first, totally normal for babies this age, but she sure warmed up when we pulled out the CAKE! A girl after my own heart! She even got her TOES in the act. We were all laughing and having such a good time with little Kaya. Here are a few of my faves ...

Kaya's grandmother came along to this session - and you all know how much I treasure "generation" portraits. I'm so thrilled to have been able to capture this moment for them. (Even though Kaya was not giving us her sweet smiles!!)

I think Kaya had more fun with her cake than any other baby I've seen.

Introducing...

little Miss Pressley. Isn't she adorable! And such a smiley little thing. What a great way to get back to work after my vacation! Pressley has a big brother, Zane, who is "almost" two. He was not very interested in playing with me, although I did sneak a *few* smiles in the, literally, 10 minutes he gave me! I'm only sorry we didn't get the image with grandma that she wanted before he gave up (um, melted down) on us :)
Here are a few of my faves from today's session ...

Mexico!

We are having a great time. But, gotta love VISTA, my laptop doesn´t let me connect to the internet here (yes, it is my own computer, not the network, sadly) so I am relegated to my 10 min sessions on the ¨lounge¨ computer. Sorry, guys, you´ll have to wait for photos.
We´ve photographed some gorgeous girls and beautiful families, plus some fun and goofy vacation snaps, too. I´ll share when I get home!!

One for Hanna

Okay, okay, one more before I leave... This is Hanna. She came all the way from the big D (dallas) for her senior session. What an honor to photograph such a lovely young lady (even if she IS headed for A&M, hehe). I told her I wouldn't have any of these done until I returned from Mexico, but there are so many good ones, I had to process a few. Until I return, Hanna, enjoy!

A Little R&R

Will and I are headed down to Mexico for a few days of rest and relaxation. I am so excited, I really need some "down time." Not sure of the internet situation down there, but since we are going with a photography group, I'm sure I'll have some fun images to post, either while there or when I get back.
Kelly will be in the office, though (poor thing, I am going to have to take her on a trip sometime, she is so great to keep things running smoothly when I am gone). So if anyone needs to pick up orders or make appointments, she can take care of you!
June is filling fast, but we do have some dates available. I've got a few special "artist choice" incentives for those who book regular sessions for the remainder of June - it might be a mini-album, or a display folio, even a framed print! So give Kelly a call to book your June session while I am gone, and you will earn a neat reward! 930-1902
Adios!!

Scout's Honor

This session was a total breeze. Little Scout was just a perfect newborn. She slept and slept! The only time she got fussy was when we attempted to remove her diaper - um, she said no way to nakey bottom shots, LOL. As soon as she was back in the comfort of her diaper, she was right back to sleep! And I was honored with TWO big smiles! An amazing reward for a newborn photographer!
Such a small world, too, as these are also neighbors of mine. Living out in the country, it's hard to get to meet everyone, but the "R" family found me through another client (thanks, Ginger!!) and turns out they are only a couple "turns" from where we live! Oh, and they brought along their pooch, Memphis, too! Here is a sneak peek for Doree & Joscar...

Family Session Gone to the Dogs!

Nah, just kidding! The "S" family did bring along their two dogs, Jack and Jill, who tried to steal the show. But I cut my "photo-teeth" on toddlers, so no reluctant pooch is going to stop me from having a fabulous session, especially with a family as gorgeous as this one! Here are a few of my favorites from their session this week ...

Wouldn't this be just awesome as a grouping on the wall? This family was so neat, and I think this gallery really captures their love for each other and their fun spirit.

And no session with pets is without its "outtakes." Here are a couple of funny ones...
