90-Minute Massage for Just $39

What a crummy day it is today! Rain and cold, the perfect day to stay inside and relax! I found this awesome deal on a massage, and I wanted to pass it along to my blog readers in the Austin / Georgetown / Round Rock areas...

I've heard really great things about Massage Envy, so I grabbed one of these and will enjoy it very soon! Maybe some of you could use a little relaxation :)

Happy Friday!

Helping Hearts - Angel Sessions

Watching the news nightly, seeing the tragedy unfold in Haiti, I look around and say a thankful prayer for all I have in my life. I hug my children and thank God that we are safe. My children have been touched, too, by the tragedy. Together we talked about how we could help. Then my good friends Michele and Lyndsay came up with a way to use our skills to help. They formed Helping Hearts for Haiti as a way for photographers to ban together to help.
Toward this effort, I am offering Angel sessions. For a $25 donation to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund, your little angel will have a special 20-minute session with me, to take place the week of February 15-18. (Monday, 2/15, is a school holiday for many of you, so please use that time to help!!). For an additional $25 donation, you will receive a gorgeous, framed 4x4 print of your little angel. We will have specially priced collections for this event as well.

Here are the details:

*Make a donation to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief fund, either $25 or $50
*Forward your receipt to kelly@masonphoto.net Please include your phone # in the email.
*Donation receipt must be dated between today (1/26/10) and February 9, 2010
*Kelly or I will call you to set up your session.
*This program is not sponsored or promoted by the American Red Cross and we are not receiving anything in return for this effort.

Donations are tax-deductible, and you know you wanted to give anyway. So what are you waiting for?

Here are a few angels to inspire you!

Baby Boom! {Georgetown Newborn Photographer}

There really is nothing better than a sweet, sleepy newborn! And I've had several already this year - that, to me, is the BEST way to start the year! Here is little Luke. He was a little older than most of our newborns, at a ripe old three weeks, LOL, but since I had been out of town, we made the best of the schedule (and I did a little praying that he'd be as sleepy and curly as a younger babe). He was FABULOUS! A little baby acne, which is easily removed in post processing, but slept like a charm. Even with an excited two-yr old sis joining us. I was thrilled with the results, even got the elusive "both children together," which you can imagine is not easy with a toddler! Here are a few of my faves...

More Newborn Snugglies {Austin Newborn Photographer}

Ah, I just love getting my "baby fix" with my newborn clients!! I've hit the bonanza so far this year, with several newborns right out of the gate. Here is Patrick, born to the gorgeous Michelle and Robin. It was tricky getting him in because in the midst of the holidays AND having a new baby, their family was also relocating to up near Ft. Worth for Robin's job. Whew! I don't know if I could have done it, but Michelle handled it great, and kept looking fabulous in the process. Here are a few faves from Patrick's debut session...

Look at those bright eyes!

And the future Longhorn - trying to give us a Hook 'Em already!!

New Year, New Baby to Love {Georgetown Newborn Photographer}

What a great way to start my new year! Newborns are such a joy to photograph, but it's even more rewarding when it's a client I have worked with previously. Not only do I get to see the first baby "all grown up" but it warms my heart to know they were happy with my work and trust me to create something special for their next born.
This is little Owen, newest member of the "P" family. Such a sweet baby, all cuddly and no crying at all!! I met his big brother, Emory, just two years ago. Time sure flies, and he has turned into such a handsome lil guy! And of course, mom looks FABULOUS! Here are a few of my faves from their session...

Yes, we actually got Emory to jump in for a few shots with the family. It's always exciting trying to capture a toddler and a newborn. I'm pretty pleased with this one :)

SCORE! Even got big brother to kiss the baby :)

Our most popular newborn item, our "Expressions" collage. The perfect way to show off all those adorable baby parts, plus other faves. This comes framed and ready to hang.

Lovely Natalie {Georgetown Senior Photographer}

And I should add "patient" since she's been waiting patiently for the holidays to end to get to have her blog entry!! Thanks, Natalie :) She is the second of the gorgeous "P" children that I have photographed. Big sis, Katrina, was in a few years ago (don't you love the image of them together? They are both stunning!). Natalie chose the "Designer" session, with indoor & outdoor, and we snuck over to the RR tracks behind my studio for a couple as well. Here are a few of my faves!

It's Back! International Charity Model Search 2010 {Austin Family Photographer}

I'm thrilled to be participating once again in the International Charity Model Search. Last year, participating studios raised over $160,000 for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep foundation (http://www.nilmdts.org/), and our own studio raised over $1500! While last year's contest was searching for the cutest child, this year focuses on the most Fabulous Family. The grand prize is a NEW CAR!! Not to mention the great feeling that comes from supporting a worthy cause :)

Our studio will be photographing families from Jan 15 - Mar 30, both indoors and outside. Your mini session and entry into the contest is only $59. Or, you can upgrade to include a portrait package for only $149. If you had a family session with us since November 1, and would like an image submitted to the contest, give us a call. For more information, or to book a session, call us at 512.930.1902
Here's a short video featuring Sandy Puc, founder of NILMDTS and the International Charity Model Search:

My Three Sons {Georgetown Family Photographer}

Wait, no, WHOA! I did not mean 'my' as in "mine -teri's" LOL! The sweet "G" family came in recently for a session with THEIR three sons! And they were such handsome boys with perfect manners. Congrats to mom & dad for doing such a great job - I have a boy and I know the challenges that come with parenting one. They are also in the process of adopting a little girl - and my prayers are with them that it all gets finished as soon as possible. I look forward to the day when I get to photograph them with a little splash of PINK!
I also photographed Mr. G alone, for his business headshots. He is a prominent dentist in Liberty Hill - and has a billboard that will feature one of the photos I took. I kinda feel important now, LOL, I've never had my work on a billboard before :)
Here are a few of my faves from the family session...

Wouldn't these three look amazing as a wall gallery? Such handsome fellas!!

There were so many fun ones of the entire family, I couldn't decide. Collages are a great way to tell the story in a compact, contemporary format! We offer ours framed and ready to hang!

Big Brother to Be! {Georgetown Pregnancy Photographer}

The divine Miss M returned for a few more maternity photos, this time to include her hubby and adorable little "G." I photographed G in his mommy's tummy, then again this last spring for our Mommy & Me sessions. He was soooo much happier to see me this time!! I always love seeing this family because they are just SO in love and so sweet - it's just adorable!! Here are a few of my faves...
