Pickin' Pumpkins - the set!

We have just a couple open spots on Saturday and several on Friday afternoon. Here is the set we have built this afternoon! Thanks to my sweet hubby for figuring out how to use this oh-so-cool tree in the set. It was no easy feat, as it is a real branch I drug out of the creekbed and it was very top-heavy. But he worked for an hour getting it perfectly set in and mounted so that it won't move (now, no swinging from the tree allowed!!). I can't wait to photograph all my sweet little clients on this set this weekend!!

Fun Family Session

It is the time of year that families start thinking about the annual portrait, for holiday cards or just to document how much everyone has grown. Or, in the case of my friend and fellow photographer, you may have a child who is about to leave the nest. Time Flies!

I can't believe it was a whole year ago I met little Dean-o! He has been such a joy to photograph this year. I just LOVE his sparkly eyes and sweet smile. (And if you don't believe me, check out most of my marketing materials from the last year and you'll see him on everything!!)

Pickin' Pumpkins

Mark your calendars, we are bringing the pumpkin patch to the studio this year! Will actually GREW pumpkins just for my set. Our "Pickin' Pumpkins" mini sessions will be held on Oct 5-6. Fall clothing (yes, we will have the A/C running!) with sweaters and hats, casual or fancy, or even wear a halloween costume. PS: Our set will be different, as it is each year, I just LOVE pulling out these pumpkin photos of my babies!! Abby was only 6 months in the first and Liam was 2!

Miss Alex

Miss Alex came to play with me yesterday. She is 3 and SO much fun! I loved her little spunky spirit. She didn't like it too much outside, as the grass was wet, but we got some great shots in my funky old chair. When we got in the studio, she was much more animated and gave me the most amazing expressions. I really love this age (and not JUST because it is also Abby's age!). Here is a sneak peek for her mommy - who just found out she is having TWINS!! (Thus the "big sister" shirt on Alex.) I'm still editing -there were soooo many good ones - but these few really caught my eye ...

Life Works Project

I am privileged to be working with KB Homes on the Life Works Project Home Improvement Project again this year. Lifeworks is a non-profit organization that helps transition youth and families from crisis to safety and success. This is my second year to work with KB Homes to sponsor a total home remodel for a family in need. I provide a photography session and a set of portraits to help decorate the apartment. Here are a few from the session. The big "reveal" will be next Friday and I am so excited to see the transformation!

Baby A!

Meet our newest member of the Bright Beginnings Baby Club, Miss Amelie. She is so adorable! I love her big smile and sparkly eyes. She brought along her daddy, and she just lit up when he would talk to her. You can tell she is "Daddy's Girl" completely. I can't wait to watch her grow throughout her first year!
