This is Sam, our newest Bright Beginnings members. Isn't he adorable!! I'm so excited his mom enrolled him - I love getting to know these sweet babies as they progress through all those "first year" stages. Plus, I've been photographing his big brother and big sister for several years, so I am really honored that they have entrusted their "last" baby to me. He is already really strong - almost sitting on his own, if you can believe it! And isn't his mommy gorgeous?? Such beautiful eyes and oh, that hair! Amy, you are a doll! Here are a few of my faves ...

Last Call for Back to School Days!!
We start this weekend and have a FEW spots open on Saturday. Why settle for the 3-seconds-spent-with-your-child photo, with the fake smile and the crooked collar? Come to a studio you trust to capture your child's spirit. With quality you can count on and a face that is familiar, plus SCHOOL PACKAGE PRICING starting at only $39, you can't go wrong. Find a few minutes in your weekend schedule and come by for our Back to School Special. Grandma will be glad you did!
Fall Harvest - Now Booking, Oct 10-11-12
While the weather is not feeling much like fall, the calendar is telling us it is so. Fall, to me, means gathering with family, holidays, making memories. But there are so many in our community less fortunate who may not have the kind of holiday that comes to mind this time of year. In honor of the many blessings that my family has received, I want to give something back, to help make others' holiday as special as the ones I treasure.
In this spirit, we are offering a very special Fall Harvest set. There will be no session fee for this set. Instead, bring along a sack of non-perishable food items, which will be taken to the food bank to help with the Thanksgiving feast for those less fortunate. Each participant will receive an artist choice, bordered print, as well as special package pricing.
The set is designed for up to two children, sitting up to adult (yes, moms, you can join in with your child!). Your $25 reservation fee is applied to your purchase. Fall tutus are available (handmade by ME), costumes or fall clothing are perfect. Special thanks to our little models who helped with these sample images!
We expect this set to fill up soon, so don't delay. Call now to reserve your time spot! 930-1902

Family of Three
The B family came in last week for an outdoor session. Will and I worked really hard to get some new plant beds in before their session. This family was so much fun to work with. They were funny and we all had a great time. And look at how awesome their outfits look! Lynn really did an outstanding job of coordinating - way to go!! Here are a few of my faves of the family and their beautiful daughter...

Little Beauties!
The "A" sisters come in to see me at least once a year. They are night and day personalities, but they are both so GORGEOUS. This year we ventured to one of their neighbor's amazing homes to use their garden, then back to their own home to capture some everyday things that make having little girls FUN. Here are a few of my faves ...
I love how "B" has her little foot poised. Such a little model!
The perfect example of how little "Bay-Bay" was behaving - so very, very "two." Mom was probably more stressed than anyone, LOL.

Sweet Baby C!
What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! This little guy was the perfect newborn client. Calm and sleepy the whole time, no matter what crazy position I put him in, plus gorgeous parents (and grandmother, too!!). I have to put this up with my top ten sessions, for sure! Here are a few of my faves...
I'm sure this little guy is going to be a hunk, since both his mommy AND his grandmother are sooo pretty!

Brotherly Love
I had the pleasure of photographing the "S" boys last week. They were all very good boys and super handsome. Their mom told me, "They are much cuter than the Jonas brothers" and I have to agree! They were definitely "all boy" and getting them to all cooperate at the same time was quite a feat, but I think they all liked me by the end, and I know Mom is going to be thrilled with all the wonderful images we created together. Well, that, and they knew they were getting lollipops when we were done, LOL! Anyway, here are a few of my faves - I captured more than normal because they were so fun and each had their own special personalities!

Ahh, the joy of being a parent...
I don't often blog about personal things in my life, but tonight I feel compelled. My son's school had a pep rally of sorts today, to "fire up" the kids about a fundraiser. Personally, I despise fundraisers like this, where the kids have to "sell" something. What it means is that the PARENTS have to pester THEIR friends and co-workers to buy some random item. Well, of course most of our friends ALSO have kids in the same school (where we also attend church) so that takes out most everyone we could sell to, right? And my family would rather just give a monetary donation than order ANOTHER magazine! I just wish there was a box to check "donation enclosed" and let it go at that. Instead I have a very hyped-up almost-7-yr old who is DYING to "earn" a build-a-bear thing.
So, dear readers, I am going to simply ask that IF you are in the market for a magazine subscription (and I can vouch for the Princess magazine, and Highlights for kids, as I ordered those last year) for yourself, your child, or a loved one, take a moment to click this link to go directly to my boy's "selling page" and type in this school ID# 985226 And please, forgive me if you are offended by this blatant begging for support :)
And just so we don't have a post with no images, here is my sweet son and his daddy, taken a couple years ago, by the late, great Monte Zucker.
