Just under the wire ...

The beautiful Michele and her sweet hubby came in today (yes, I occasionally work on the weekend, LOL) for a maternity session. I say just under the wire because Michele *may* be going on bedrest next week to ensure her baby arrives nice and healthy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her (and saying a little prayer) that she doesn't have any REASONS to go on bedrest - but of course, I recommend bedrest BEFORE the baby arrives, as most don't get ANY rest once they are born!!
I am so glad we could work it out so that she was able to come in for these special portraits. They were so much fun to work with. We even broke out the angel wings!! Good times! I can't wait to meet their little guy when he makes his appearance in a month or so. Here are a few of my faves from the session ...

If Victoria's Secret had a maternity division, Michele would surely qualify!

Turner Turns One!

Isn't he just adorable! And talk about a good CAKE-SMASHER! His mom said that they called his real birthday cake "Pound Cake" because he pounded it into the ground. He did that here, too. Having two big brothers might just have *something* to do with it. That, and the fact that he is not only walking, but running by now. Here are some fun faves from his session, as well as a funny outtake...

Sweet Erin

My great intern, Erin, is leaving today to go back to Texas A&M. She got her braces off this week and got a nice tan, so we snagged a few images before she heads out. Isn't she gorgeous? I'm really going to miss her! Hopefully she will be very busy with her budding photography business - she wants to concentrate on engagements in & around Bryan/College Station. So anyone who needs a great photographer in that area, let me know and I'll get you in touch!
Thanks, Erin, for a great summer!!

One perfect year!

Little Harry - not so little anymore, but sweeter than ever! This family is just so wonderful, it has been a joy to be a part of their lives this past year. And it has flown by! Harry just came in for his one year session - he's now a graduate of our Bright Beginnings club. I'm going to miss seeing him every few months, but hopefully his mommy will enroll him in our Leaps & Bounds club, so I can be sure to keep track of his progress through toddler hood. Here are a few of my faves from his one year session ...

It was a riot trying to get these "letter" images. Harry thought it was great fun to hurl them onto the floor before I could pick up my camera. Good thing I'm pretty fast ... :)

Double the Love

I was so excited to have these precious twin girls come in last week for their first portrait session. They are the perfect little angels of Charlene, whose maternity I photographed several weeks ago. They were both so sweet - with definite personalities already! Little J slept the whole time, while Miss M was wide eyed up until the last few minutes. Charlene hinted that she may enroll them in the Bright Beginnings club - I sure hope so, it would be so much fun to watch them progress through their first year. Well, she is already going to have a hard time choosing, so no pressure :) Here are a few of my (many) favorites...

Here is my famous "make it look like they were both asleep" when little M yawned and closed her eyes!

And a sweet "first family portrait" of all four. Both girls so secure in daddy's arms!

Having Fun at the Beach

Yes, for those of you with preschoolers, that is the name of a Wiggles' song. All the time I was processing this session, it was stuck in my head. My kids have almost outgrown Greg, Murray, Anthony and Jeff (not totally, though) but spending a week photographing sessions on the beach really had me singing along with this song! We did have a LOT of fun. I'll be posting some of the sessions as I get them proofed.
Here is a sneak peek for my blog model - you can see her up above in the header, with little Cash as a newborn, two years ago. Now he is a "big boy" and so handsome. Took him a little while to warm up to me (and to the idea of the beach - it was his first time to see it!) but once he got going, it was non-stop two year old fun! Here are a few of my faves (and believe me, Beth, you are going to have a HARD time, as there are soooo many goood ones) ...

Bright Beginnings - Special Offer

You all know how much I love capturing babies during that first year. The change SO much and even if you don't get professional portraits, I hope that you are at least snapping away with any camera of your own. Our Bright Beginnings club captures the major milestones of Baby's first year - pushing up on tummy, sitting unassisted, rolling over, standing - or walking - and ends with a fun cake-smash session at that big First Birthday. For the month of August, we are offering a Bonus to any new mommy who enrolls their new bundle of joy. A FREE photo bag - your choice of a purse or a diaper bag, embellished with your new little one's precious face! If you have a brand new little one, or are expecting, this is the time to get them enrolled in the club. Enrollment is only $300, and includes three sessions during baby's first year, a beautiful framed 10x20 portrait featuring one image from each session (delivered at the completion of the 1 year session), a DVD show featuring images from the entire year, and now, a FREE photo bag! Wow, that is an amazing value! While we only accept six babies within each month, it is based on their birthday (we want to make sure we have plenty of time to devote to each baby!) so this special is wide open. But once the six for each month is filled, that month will close - so you expectant mommies, this is your chance!!
Call 930-1902 to enroll your precious baby!

Leaps & Bounds!

Because they seem to grow by leaps & bounds, we are proud to introduce a new portrait club designed to capture those ages and stages of the preschool years
Introducing Leaps & Bounds! Club includes sessions at age 2, 3, 4, and 5 - scheduled near the special birthday, and includes a gorgeous matted 5x7 print of your choice from each session, and one easel for display. Cost for the club is only $300 - that is only a fraction of the value of the sessions and prints - but for the month of August, join Leaps & Bounds for only $250!
If your child is close to age 2, or even just turned one, now is the time to lock in savings and precious portraits all the way up through school age!! Call 930-1902 to join the club!

Terrific Two!

This little sweetheart has been coming to me since she was a newborn. Natalie just turned TWO and to celebrate, joined our brand new "Leaps & Bounds" club. I'm so excited that I'll be seeing her again at her 3, 4, and 5 birthdays!! Two is such an exciting age - so many things to explore. Good thing I have cool "toys" (props) and I am very FAST! Here are a few of my faves from her "Terrific Two" year session...

I was thrilled that Jennifer (mom) brought in the rest of the clan for a quick snap at the end. I'm such a pushover for Longhorn fans :) I later found out this was her first trip out with all four kids. It went great - these are REALLY well behaved children. I'm so lucky to have them as clients!!
