Haley is a Big Sister!

This is the "B" family, one of the sweetest families I have met in a really long time. They first came to see me a few years ago, and have been an inspiration to me on an almost daily basis. Their precious daughter, Haley, has been through a lot in her short life, and Heather's positive attitude and faith in God have kept her strong for her family - and have impacted others like myself in a very positive way. You can read more about Haley on her caring bridge site.
They came to see me recently to celebrate the upcoming birth of their third child, and then for her newborn images. Baby "R" is a delightful little thing, very calm (except when hungry!). We captured some amazing images of Heather, Randy and their newest addition. Miss Haley graced us with a few, but she was much more interested in being TWO than doing pictures with me :)

Anyway, here are a few of my faves, and some that they ordered, better late than never! (Sorry, Heather!!)

Big Brother in Training

I first met the "D" family, gosh, almost four years ago when Becky was pregnant with little "E." Then again when he was just about six weeks old.
He sure has grown up to be a handsome little man, and oh, that red hair!
They came to see me again this week, as they are expecting a second little "E" in January. I feel so honored that they chose me to capture this amazing time in their lives. I can't wait to meet the second "E" soon, and I know that big "E" is going to be an awesome big brother! Here are a few of my faves from their session...

Special Man

This is my Daddy! He and my step-mom, Ann, came to our house for Thanksgiving, and since it was so nice outside, we headed out to the creek for a mini session. I think they turned out great! Aren't they cute?? Here are a few of my faves...

All the way from Alaska!

The "P" family was in town for Thanksgiving, all the way from Alaska, and came for a session. I'm sure they enjoyed the weather here - we were outside and it was barely breezy! The funny part was when we went into the field - they mentioned back home it would have been impossible to sit in the grass without coming out completely muddy. For me, Texas girl through and through, it made me shiver to even THINK of the cold they are headed back home to in a few days. Here are a few of my favorites from their session ...

Fast as Lightning!

Meet "M" who is a very, VERY fast and energetic little man of three. Whew, he can run. We had a blast at his session recently. A few quick snaps in the studio and he was ready to go explore our creek area. Something about little boys and sticks & rocks... Sue, you are going to have a tough time choosing - your little man is adorable! Here are a few of my faves.
Such a cool cat - did you notice he has on a Led Zeppelin t-shirt??

The tall grass was REALLY fun - we ran and ran and ran ...

This is really my favorite of the whole day. He is having such fun and sheer joy running with the stick. To me, this just says "childhood."

Talk about joy - I love when moms get into the action. Here she is demonstrating how to throw leaves in the air. Another big fave of mine (don't you love the unexpected?)

Maddie the Graduate

She is ONE and has now graduated from our Bright Beginnings Baby Club! It has been so much fun watching her grow up (so darn fast) this past year. I had the pleasure of photographing her since she was a newborn, and I hope that I will continue to share in her milestones as she gets older. Here are a few faves from her one-year CAKE session, as well as her one-year storyteller collage.

She LOVED this piano. I love this image, she is having so much fun!

Not too sure what to do with the cake, which is more common than you think...

And her full year - wow, she has changed so much!

Rockin' Breakfast with Santa

If you have children and want a stress-free way to visit Santa this year, be sure to come out to the Breakfast with Santa at First Baptist Church in Georgetown, on Saturday, Dec 6. This fun event is put on by the Performing Arts Studio, where my daughter takes dance lessons. You'll also be entertained by the dance troupe's performance of "Rock the Tree" while enjoying breakfast and visiting with the man in red.

Don't need to visit Santa? You can take in an evening performance of Rock the Tree on Friday, December 5 at 7pm. Either way, it's guaranteed to be a rockin' good time! For ticket info, please call 512-863-2750 (and tell them you saw it here on the MasonPhoto blog!)

Urban Family Fun

Well, not *really* urban ... more like industrial urban out in hicksville, LOL. The "M" family was adventurous with me and we got some amazing and fun images! I've been photographing this family for about five years and the boys seem SO grown up now. And they are all so darn gorgeous, I look forward to our session each year! Here are a few of my faves ...

And we finished with an ice cream treat - believe it or not, the ice cream shop is next door to the industrial ruins, LOL. Always an adventure!!

Baby's First Christmas

One of my favorite families over the last several years added a new member to their family recently. They came in for her first Christmas portraits this week. Big sister "M" was so sweet to baby "M." I was impressed how well baby M could lift her head at only 8 weeks old! And of course big sis was as adorable as always. Here are some of my faves ...

And of course Baby M was happiest when we took her clothes OFF!

"Two" Cute

The "D" family came in last week for a fun session with their two girls. Mom warned me little "K" was a pistol when it comes to being photographed. You wouldn't have known it!! What a couple of darling girls! And big sis, "A," really helped get the groove going with her dance moves. Here are a few of my faves from the session.
