Girls & Puppies, Oh My! - Austin Family Photographer

I had the extreme pleasure of photographing the May family recently. They are such a gorgeous family, each girl with her own special "look" and beauty. Add to that another of my favorite things - PUPPIES! And doxie pups, to boot (my fave!!). But it is true what they say about working with children and animals, LOL. Those pups were on their own mission ... Add in the mom & dad dogs, we had five people and five dogs. I'm so proud of myself for achieving an "everyone looking at the camera" image!!
I have a ton (TON!) of faves, but here is a highlight. Carmen, I hope you have a nice sized wall, as you are definitely going to need a showcase gallery! Thanks for a fun session!

You can see where these girls got their beauty!

Daddy & his girls. Better get that shotgun cleaned, Rob, these girls are gorgeous!

Awww, look at those faces!!!

Love this Family! Austin Family Photographer

I'm sure by now you recognize the T family. I have only known them for just over a year, but have grown very fond of them!! I especially love Cheri, we have kind of become friends, although as moms it is hard to "get together" to really visit. (Cheri, we need a girls' night!) She is always there with a kind word for me!!
Anyway, she brought in the "3Ks" recently for a Mommy & Me session. Don't they look adorable? She has styled them so well for this session! We started in the studio but quickly decided to go outside, since K3 (little Kohen) wanted to just crawl all over the studio, LOL. Of course, we were supposed to be doing Mommy & Me, but I couldn't resist a few of the three Ks together, and some (alot) of each K alone. I really don't know how she is going to choose, there are so many good ones. But she is such a great cheerleader for me, I may just have to give her a little something extra special :) Here are a few of the (many) faves...

PromPalooza! Austin Senior Photographer

I had the great pleasure of working with a group of lovely girls last weekend. They had a "princess prom party" and I photographed them. We were limited to indoors, as the location had NO shade and it was midday, but we made some great images with what we had available. LOVE that vintage couch. I know they have been waiting, so here is their slideshow. Enjoy!

Daddy's Boy - Austin Children's Photographer

You may remember Gavin from earlier this year - he came in with his beautiful sister, for her model session. He was in recently with his daddy and we got some amazing, artistic images. I am just in love with all three of these, and I know they are waiting patiently to see them on the blog. Thanks, guys!!

The "L" children - Austin Childrens Photographer

I've been photographing the L children for several years now, I think since Miss A was about 6 months old! Now that little S is almost one, they came in for a session with all three kiddos. (S has been in our Bright Beginnings Baby Club, and will "graduate" in a few weeks!!) They were so much fun to work with. I had to laugh because big brother D was so funny with his baby. I sat them together and said "Play with him" so he put up his dukes and started play boxing. I just about fell over laughing. Guess I'm just too girly, I expected patty cakes or something, LOL. Anyway, here are a few of my faves from their session...

Mr G - Austin Family Photographer

The last time I saw little "G" was, well, I guess I didn't SEE him, he was in his gorgeous mommy's tummy! Fast forward 18 months and they came in to see me. That is such a difficult age, especially in the afternoon. We got a good idea that he did not want to play with us - exploring the studio was MUCH more fun. Luckily, I have some really fun toys! Suffice it to say, we got some cute images, and we got a really fun outtake :) Here are a few of my faves ...

and this means "I'M DONE!"

Baby Nailah Joins Bright Beginnings! - Austin Baby Photographer

Sweet Nailah Aunjel - I just LOVE that name! Isn't she just adorable? So serious, I can tell she is going to be a smart girl. She was completely wide-eyed the entire session, and nary a peep out of her, even when she started to get hungry. Of course mom and dad were both so amazingly gorgeous that it just made my job so easy! I love the skin-on-skin images. To me, they really show the intimate bond between parents and their newborn baby. And, of course, bonus that they brought in BOTH grandmothers. (I just adore "generation" portraits!) Here are a few of my (many) faves from Nailah's first Bright Beginnings session. I look forward to watching her grow over the next year! Thanks, Tracey, for sharing Sinai's album with them, for that is how they found me!!

Newborn Baby R - Austin Newborn Photographer

I thought these three images would be a gorgeous wall grouping in little R's nursery. A 16x20 flanked by two 10x20 canvas wraps - so sweet, yet cool and contemporary, too!

Meet little Mr. "R" - he was the perfect newborn! And wow, his adorable older brother was a complete gentleman. I was totally impressed by how well he behaved. It's not easy to be a big brother of the ripe age of 3, but he is well on his way!

I was so excited when Kelly called me. They just moved here recently and chose me to document this very special moment in their family story. Thanks, guys! Here are a few faves ...

Babies, Babies, Babies! Austin Newborn Photographer

It's been a whirlwind of babies around here lately! I am behind in blogging (so sorry!!) but am trying to catch up. Starting with the beautiful baby "J." I photographed her darling big sister "A" two years ago as a newborn (sadly, on my old blog that no longer exists!) and little J is like a carbon copy! But with more HAIR! Mom & Dad brought in the same gorgeous handmade dress that Miss A wore and we recreated the image, just for grandma! Here are a few of my faves from their recent session...

So alert!

Isn't Miss A just adorable?? She just lit up with that "princess" pettiskirt!

"The Shot" that we recreated.

And the "original..."
