Soon-to-be-a-Family

I had the pleasure of photographing Adrienne and John recently. What a fun couple! They are expecting little John Thomas in a few weeks. We had a great session, both in the studio and outside on our property. I can't wait to meet little John Thomas! Here are a few of my (many) favorites:

I can relate!!

Okay, now I realize how hard it can be to buy clothes for your portrait session! My family is accompanying me to Louisiana this week to hear award-winning photographer Lori Nordstrom speak (www.nordstromphoto.com). She is going to be photographing my kids (they will be models for our class). I spent several hours today pouring over Children's Place, Gymboree and Gap Kids, looking for the "perfect" outfits. I came home with so many bags, it is not funny! Then I remembered that Lori shoots only in Black and White!! Anyway, we are taking most of the outfits, and will let her choose the best. I'll be sure to post here when she gives me some images. She is so fabulous (I'm a little glad she lives in Iowa, LOL.)
We will be out of the office through Sunday, but Kelly will be holding down the fort on Wednesday and Thursday. Remember, we are closed on Fridays for the summer.

Lil' Jackman

This little guy was such a good baby!! Jackman never cried or fussed the entire session - what a joy! Too bad his family is moving away because I would LOVE to have him in the Bright Beginnings Club. Such a sweetie! I just LOVE the little giraffe toy his mommy brought - that is my favorite image from the week, for sure. Here is a sneak peek for mom and dad...

Jaden the RockStar!

Jaden is one of our Bright Beginnings Club members. His daddy is in a band and Jaden has inherited daddy's talent on the drums! He is just so cute in his little Beatles shirt. AND the best part is he is also a Longhorn!! (No offense to those who do not bleed orange like I do :) Here is a peek...

Miss Kylee

Miss Kylee is in our Bright Beginnings Club and she is such a joy! All smiles and giggles. Her little crunched up nose just made me laugh. Isn't she adorable?? Here is a sneak peek for mom and grandma...

Lucky 7!

What a cool day today is! 07-07-07!! A great reason to have a sale :) In honor of this date, I'm offering a "Lucky 7" Sale. Sessions booked this week (7-7-07 through 7-12-07) to be held before August 15 are only $77! That is half price!!

In addition, all wall portrait orders (16x20 or larger) are $77 off the regular price - this is the PERFECT time to order a gallery to fill that one wall that just needs "something special."

This offer is valid on previous sessions or upcoming sessions - with orders placed by July 31, 2007.

Mr. T

Meet Tristan - he and I (and Mommy, Amy) got to spend some real "quality" time this week. During his session, the rain came and came some more, so much that it flooded the creek and it couldn't be crossed for several hours. We had a great time watching HGTV and I got some very quality cuddles for my "baby fix." Amy was a trooper, she didn't get mad or anything, and I have a very special gift for her patience. (Amy, you'll find out when you get here for the presentation next week!!) Here's a preview. Don't you love the cool wrap that Amy had in Tristan's car carrier? I had to include it in a few images. It was soooo soft!

Miss Myka

I had the pleasure of meeting little Miss Myka this week. She is such a doll. And very laid-back and happy - she didn't even fuss the entire time. What a joy she is :) Here is a sneak peek for Mommy...

Happy Independence Day!

Happy 4th, everyone! I was hoping to send a fun photo of the kiddos, in their red-white-and-blue finest, but by lunch time, they had played in the water AND finger painted. Now THAT was probably more of the "real" picture of my children, but hey, I'll remember that in my mind, for sure.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday. I have lots of new images to post, but you will have to wait until tomorrow :)

I'm inspired - and need a model family

I just saw the coolest portrait! A photographer friend of mine from Nebraska created the most fabulous family portrait - actually it was a set of six grandchildren - and I am inspired to create something similar. But I have only two children LOL. So I'm looking for a group of children, 6-8 kids, somehow related (siblings, cousins, grandkids, etc) to be my models. I'll provide the session and a 10x20 print of the final outcome (any other prints can be purchased or not, no obligation! :) If you are that family, or know of one, please let me know ASAP. I'd like to do this in the next couple weeks. It will likely be an outdoor session (if it ever stops raining!!) and is going to be really fun! Email or call me at the studio (studio@masonphoto.net or 512.930.1902)
