Cooper's Troopers

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing an event for Cooper's Troopers. Cooper is a little boy in our community who has had a heart transplant and is having to stay for an extended time in Houston (a 3-hour drive). It was so amazing to see the community rally for this little boy and his family. We raised quite a bit to help them with expenses. I'm so proud of our little town!!

You can read more about Cooper at http://www.carepages.com/ under Coopertrooper (one word).

It's Bluebonnet Time!!

Our bluebonnets have finally decided to show their pretty selves! While I know many of you have been chompin' at the bit, we wanted to make sure we had a nice area, thick with flowers, to create your portrait. And not by some busy highway - right on our secluded ten-acre studio property!
We are now taking appointments for bluebonnet sessions - April 14-25 only! We have a limited number of sessions available for these very special, Texas-styled portraits. Call now for best selection of times! 930-1902 (Click the image below to see full-sized.)

Oh those cheeks!!

And eyes, and that cute little tongue!! Turner is one of our Bright Beginnings babies. He is six months and so bright-eyed. His session was just a joy! I got so excited I worked up his images the very same day - then terrible me ALMOST forgot to blog them!! (sorry Kristie!!) Anyway, here are a few of my faves. The one with the wristband - if you look closely you can see LIVESTRONG. This photo was in honor of Turner's grandfather. I'm so glad we captured it!!

Fun Brothers!

The W boys are regulars in my life. They are both the same age as both of my kids and they are in each others' classes. Abby is just IN LOVE with Tyler and I can probably truthfully say the same for Liam and Trey (in a best-friend kind of way). I was excited to photograph the boys last week. We had a gorgeous day and we played around outside and had a blast. Then a few days later, they came back with their grandparents for a really special (and SHORT) session with them. I really don't know how you keep up with them on a daily basis, Diane, but I totally respect it! These boys are adorable, but they wore me out :) Here are a few faves from both sessions...

Katie-Q!

Okay, Katelyn! This little girl was a pistol - she definitely made me work for it!! She wants to be a cop when she grows up and was very no-nonsense, esp with my silly poses. I think, though, that she is going to be very pleased when she sees what I was able to capture, in between her giving me silly faces and big frowns!! Here are a few faves ...

Sneak Peek for Brynna

I know this lovely young lady has been patiently (not!) waiting for a sneak peek. She was so much fun to work with! She definitely taught me some new moves (from America's Top Model). And I love that she was not "too old" for a tutu!! My kinda girl :)
So Brynna, here are a few of my favorites from your session ...

Lil Cowboys!

The Thiele family paid me a visit the other day and I had the pleasure of photographing some real cowboys! The boys were so cute in their jeans and boots! And daddy had a COOL hat (which he did NOT let the boys wear in any photos - apparently that is a fau paux, according to Will, as you NEVER take a real cowboy's hat!!). Here are a few of my faves ...

Cosmo Kids!

The Spencer kids came by last week for an awesome session. I say "Cosmo" because they had the coolest clothes and just had "the look" - you can tell the camera loves them!! While I do love my babies, I really enjoy photographing school age kids! They are fun because they can do what I ask and they really can put on some "moves" for me. These kids were so incredibly photogenic - and so well mannered - that the session was just incredible. We even got dad involved for a few! Here are a few of my faves, but it was REALLY hard to narrow it down (I always say that, don't I? Well, I do have the MOST beautiful clients....)

Miss Ella!

Look at these cheeks! This little cutie pie came in for her very first professional portrait session last week. She was so much fun! Have I mentioned I adore six month olds? They can sit up on their own, interact, laugh and play with me, but they can't go anywhere. The perfect subjects!!
Seriously, Ella was just a doll, so happy and just too darn cute. Here are a few of my faves (it was HARD to pick only a few...)
