A Run for My Money!!

This sweet family came in last week and boy, little Mr. "L" gave me a run for my money! I know that his mom and VERY patient dad are thinking we surely got nothing. I assured them that I am used to rambunctious toddlers and that they'd be pleasantly surprised. I think they will be thrilled! And of course, the pretty Miss "A" was delightful. Here are a few of my faves of this beautiful family...

Gorgeous Outdoor Family

I traveled all the way to Elgin for this session, and boy, was it WORTH it! The "T" family was so wonderful to work with, and their home property was just stunning! Being somewhat of a country girl myself these days, I can certainly appreciate a wide expanse of hills and trees. Of course, Stephen thought I was crazy to leave behind the areas he had neatly mowed and head toward the shaggy areas on the fringe of the property. What can I say, but the light there was too pretty to pass up!
After some fun with the girls, we were joined by the rest of the clan. What a fun time, feeding the fish, playing with the dogs and riding on the golf cart. I really enjoyed the time I spent with this family. Here are a few of my favorites (and yes, Amy, you are going to have a hard time choosing!!)

Yes, you do see a "Hook 'Em Horns" sign!! This is an AGGIE family, hehe, but you all know that anytime I see the Hook 'Em sign, it makes the blog :)

Newborn Bliss!

One of my very favorite client families has added a new member! Meet Miss M, little sis to Miss M. Hmmm, maybe M1 & M2? Anyway, I got to meet this sweet lil thing this week. She was such a perfect baby! Slept soundly, even with me moving her around, changing her clothes, and bis sister holding and kissing on her. I am thrilled to be this family's photographer! If M2 is anywhere NEAR as much fun as M1 has been these last several years, I am in for a real treat. Congrats, Leanne and Dan!!

I love when I get a newborn smile :)

Big sis is already a pro at helping!

Doesn't Mommy look FABULOUS?

This tutu is so adorable!

And of course, we couldn't do a session without a few of M1 all to herself. She had a great time with my new cupcake hat and my zebra pettiskirt!

Little Kacie

Kacie is one of our Bright Beginnings club members. You will remember her newborn session just a few months ago - wow, time does fly! It's so exciting to document her first year - her big sister was in our Bright Beginnings a couple years ago. Two beautiful little girls! And they have two sweet big brothers to love on them!! Here are a few of my faves from her four month session.

Don't the sisters look a lot alike in this shot?? Big sis Natalie on the left, Kacie on the right.

Last Call for Fall Harvest - NO SESSION FEE

Just a reminder that we have a few (literally 3-4) spaces left for our Fall Harvest set this weekend. There is no session fee when you bring in a sack of non-perishable food or personal items (toothpaste, deodorant, soap, etc) to be donated to the Caring Place. They are gathering items to help Hurricane Ike victims, and this is a great chance to help!
We've got an adorable set, perfect for Halloween costumes or fall outfits, and specially priced portrait packages just for this event! Check out our 3-image "cutie" which is FREE with a $300 purchase!

Your session includes one 5x7 bordered art print, as well as several poses on our set. This is a great opportunity to put on those fall outfits (even though it hasn't really been fall weather!) or wear the Halloween costume. We also have custom, handmade tutus in fall colors.

Call today to reserve your session! 930-1902

Open Heart Family

I had the pleasure of photographing the "C" kids recently. They were a really fun group - four boys and one adorable little girl. Boy, is she going to have a hard time getting a date past all those brothers :) The reason I titled this Open Heart Family, is that not only do they have a big, loving family of their own, they also have opened their home to an exchange student from Germany. She was with them at the session and of course I grabbed her for a few shots of her own. Isn't she gorgeous? And she wasn't even planning to be photographed! Anyway, here are a few of my favorites.

Mom wanted mostly family shots, but these kids were so gorgeous, I had to get a few individuals, too! This would make a great gallery mount presentation.

This one is just FUN!
And of course, my very favorite for last - I'd hang this one as a 30x20 wrapped canvas. What a showpiece this would be in their home!

Hey, Cupcake!

I've been dying to try out my new cupcake hat that my mom knitted for me. Turns out, it's too big for a newborn! But it's PERFECT for a newborn's big sister!! Little baby "P" came in last week and her beautiful big sister, "A." They were both so wonderful. It was the best of both worlds in a session, as little P was such a sweet sleeper, and A was a great dancer and so much fun. And wow, all together, such a gorgeous family! Here are a few of my (many) faves...

The Power of Pink

Today is October 1, 2008. The air outside is crisp, signaling fall is coming (even though the high today is predicted to be near 100!) It is also the start of Breast Cancer Awareness month. I am fortunate enough to not have any immediate family who has been stricken by this rapidly growing disease. However, I have friends and colleagues who have been affected, both directly and indirectly. And it is something that I believe ALL women should pay good attention to, as it is a disease that we can do something about! In addition to your monthly self-exams, you can donate to the research that will someday find a cure.
This month, we are offering "Power of Pink" sessions at half price! With your donation of $50 or more to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (click the link and choose "donate directly"), you will receive a wonderful "Power of Pink" session, including a portrait collection, for half price! What a wonderful way to celebrate a loved one or just pamper yourself!
Power of Pink sessions include a session with Teri in the studio and a portrait collection with two poses and several prints, and should include something PINK. The images produced will be black and white with our special hand-tinting to show off the pink.
Our goal is to raise $1000 to the Komen foundation - this means that sessions are limited (but you know, we always try to accommodate everyone!) so call today. You'll feel great, you'll give to a wonderful cause that affects all of us women, and you'll have a beautiful portrait to enjoy for years to come!! 930-1902

**The images you see here are mostly children, however these sessions are NOT limited to children. Pamper yourself with a personal session, or include the special women in your life. CELEBRATE!!
