The "C" family came in over spring break for a special portrait session with their grandchildren. Mrs. C bought my auction donation at the PlayBingo event for the Center for Child Protection last fall. Such a great cause, and such a great family! Both kids looked great, I daresay they even had fun before we were done :) And they will all treasure the portrait with their grandparents! Here are a few of my faves ...

{Austin Charity Photographer} Sophia Angel
The adorable Miss Sophia! I've been trying to get her into the studio for, oh, well, since she was in her mommy's tummy :) Her mommy is a good friend of my client, Cheri, and wanted to come in, but they still lived in Dallas. They are here, not quite settled with house still under construction, but managed to get in for our Helping Hearts for Haiti angel sessions. Isn't she the most perfect angel?? Even with a runny nose and not feeling 100%, I was thrilled to get some really cute smiles! Here are a few of my faves...

{Georgetown Child Photographer} True Angels
I had the pleasure of photographing the "T" children recently, for our Helping Hearts for Haitiangel promotion. Jennifer is in my book club and I had not met both her kiddos. They were soooo sweet! Little "L" was very serious and I was happy to get a couple of little smiles - at least she liked me enough to not cry :) And big brother M was just adorable - all smiles and such a sweetie! I just love my job - I get to meet adorable little clients AND help a worthy cause! Here are a few of my faves from their angel mini...

Lil Angel Hannah {Austin Charity Photographer}
This is our Helping Hearts for Haiti week! Your $25 donation to the Red Cross rewards you not only with a great feeling of helping those in need, but also earns you a FREE angel session. Little Hannah came in on Monday for her session. I hadn't seen her in about a year - she has grown into such a pretty little lady of two. And a bonus, her daddy, who is proudly serving our country, was here for the session, so we snuck him into a couple of images. He's leaving soon for more training then back to the middle east, so my special gift for Hannah is a print of her and her daddy! Here are a few faves from her angel mini session ...

Gorgeous Family {Georgetown Family Photographer}
As you may know, our studio is participating in the 2nd annual International Charity Model Search. This is a great contest designed to raise money and awareness for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep charity. For a super-low fee, you get a family session and entry into the competition - where you could win a NEW CAR! If you'd like to book a session for yourself, click the button to the right - sessions must take place by March 15 - but if you come in earlier, you have a longer voting period, so a better chance at WINNING!!
Our first family to enter is the J family. I've had the pleasure of photographing the children at various times but this was my first time to get everyone together. I'm so glad they came in! They are such a gorgeous family - those twin boys just melt my heart - and oh the cuteness of the girls!! I think my favorite, though, are the images of just Missy and Lee - such love evident there!! Totally my pleasure to capture this moment! Here are a few of my favorites...

Helping Hearts - Angel Sessions

Watching the news nightly, seeing the tragedy unfold in Haiti, I look around and say a thankful prayer for all I have in my life. I hug my children and thank God that we are safe. My children have been touched, too, by the tragedy. Together we talked about how we could help. Then my good friends Michele and Lyndsay came up with a way to use our skills to help. They formed Helping Hearts for Haiti as a way for photographers to ban together to help.
Toward this effort, I am offering Angel sessions. For a $25 donation to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund, your little angel will have a special 20-minute session with me, to take place the week of February 15-18. (Monday, 2/15, is a school holiday for many of you, so please use that time to help!!). For an additional $25 donation, you will receive a gorgeous, framed 4x4 print of your little angel. We will have specially priced collections for this event as well.
Here are the details:
*Make a donation to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief fund, either $25 or $50
*Forward your receipt to kelly@masonphoto.net Please include your phone # in the email.
*Donation receipt must be dated between today (1/26/10) and February 9, 2010
*Kelly or I will call you to set up your session.
*This program is not sponsored or promoted by the American Red Cross and we are not receiving anything in return for this effort.
Donations are tax-deductible, and you know you wanted to give anyway. So what are you waiting for?
Here are a few angels to inspire you!

Locks of Love {Austin Child Photographer}
Meet the beautiful and oh-so-giving Miss Audrey! She has the most gorgeous red hair (and all who know me, know I have a soft spot in my heart for red-heads - my daddy was a red-head). And she decided, on her own, to cut it off to donate to Locks of Love. When I heard about it, I immediately offered her a free session to document the before & after. I LOVE her new 'do, don't you?? So cute and sassy, perfect for a big, grown-up first grader!
